This is what my birthday looks like today! I’m enjoying this beautiful snowy day and thinking that my future is bright. I am beyond ecstatic to see what God has planned for my life and the upcoming year. Thrilled! In the words of Taylor Swift, “I don’t know about you but I’m feeling 22!” ;–)
A little back ground story about this historic school in Madison, Indiana. In 1846 Eleutherian College was the first Indiana school to offer post-secondary instruction to African Americans. When I first started visiting Madison, IN in 2008 we’d pass this school and every time I’d say to myself that I need to photograph this school. I just loved it so much. So on this beautiful Fall day, we stopped. For that I am glad we did.
I secretly wish it could be my house one day :–D
And so the week of Indiana begins. I have photographed Sean & Courtney from engagement to their Kentucky wedding and now inviting Mr. Flynn into their little family. It’s always a pleasure to photograph them and watch them grow together.
Today we have Ashland-The Henry Clay Estate. The house speaks for itself. What a stunner, huh? And an absolutely gorgeous venue to have a wedding. ;–) The property in the back of the house is wide open perfect for a white tent. They also have a majestic garden area. If you are looking for a venue that you can have the ceremony and the reception Henry Clay would be perfect.
I’m sort of obsessed with barns, horses and just farm animals in general. So when I was driving around Kentucky seeing horses everywhere I HAD to stop. When I say stop, I mean pulling off to the side of the road, turning on the hazard lights just to get a few photos. I am so glad I did. Ah, I love these photos!
